Casablanca signals the end of the reign of car guards

Casablanca authorities have found a solution to put an end to the chaos of car guards which prevents the development of parking.

Soon the end of car guards? The Casablanca authorities have begun to suspend the issuance and renewal of security permits for cars, motorcycles and other vehicles, following in the footsteps of the Tangier authorities. An act welcomed by civil society actors. “This decision was long awaited, because the licensing system had transformed into a clear privilege, and a replacement is now hoped for,” said a civil society actor in Casablanca.
