Casablanca ends palm tree planting
The city of Casablanca seems to be turning its back on palm trees. While many cities favor this tree, the economic capital seems to be turning its back on it as part of the complete rehabilitation of Zerktouni Street, one of the city’s most famous arteries.
Neglected for years, Zerktouni Street will soon be given a facelift. The local development company “Casa Transports” has initiated a project for its rehabilitation over 4.5 km. Its overall cost is estimated at around 112 million dirhams: 55.4 million dirhams for the work between Corniche and Ibrahim Roudani streets and 56.4 million dirhams for the work between Ibrahim Roudani and Mohammed VI streets.
