Casablanca: authorities track down spoiled meat

The Casablanca authorities have launched a vast operation to combat the sale of meat unfit for consumption. In recent months, numerous poisonings have occurred in the economic capital.

Following numerous concerns about the health risks linked to these products, the police carried out a raid on Tuesday morning at the Hay Hassani market. Aljarida24. Accompanied by agents of authority, they seized a large quantity of rotten meat, provoking the anger of the residents. Red meat, poultry and merguez, unfit for consumption, were stored in deplorable hygienic conditions. Nearly 98 kilos of products were confiscated then sprayed with disinfectant before being destroyed, in order to avoid any clandestine recirculation.
