Casablanca: a taxi driver arrested for robbing his passengers

A Casablanca taxi driver, aged around fifty, was arrested on Wednesday by the police in the Hay Hassani district. Suspected of multiple thefts, the man took advantage of his professional activity to rob his clients.

The fifty-year-old lured his victims to isolated places, claiming that his vehicle had broken down. He then used their belongings, such as their phones or any other object, to simulate an imaginary fault affecting the taxi, before fleeing. Abandoned, the victims found themselves helpless in the face of this well-established stratagem.
