Cannabis and cocaine: trafficking from Morocco judged in Châteauroux
Several individuals accused in a drug trafficking case allegedly directed from Morocco have been sentenced to up to two years in prison in France.
It all started with the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of 2 kg of cocaine, 10 kg of weed and 5 kg of cannabis resin. A fourth individual was arrested in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, in Loiret. In court, this man presents himself as a “nanny”, that is to say the one who has been storing drugs since January 2024 for trafficking allegedly directed from Morocco, reports The New Republic. The drug was found in the Mercedes Class A, on the Avionneurs area during a check organized by the gendarmerie and the various state services, on November 28, 2024. The merchandise came from this Castelroussin, located in near Orléans with his partner. “I was threatened, I had someone come to my house,” he said on the stand, explaining that his wish was to leave trafficking.
