Brazilian olive oil for Morocco

Morocco has authorized Brazil to export olive oil to the Moroccan market, Brazilian authorities announced. The persistent drought that has affected the kingdom for six years has led to a sharp drop in national olive oil production and an exaggerated rise in the prices of this highly prized product.

This new partnership will make it possible to strengthen agricultural cooperation between Morocco and Brazil, indicates the Brazilian government in a note, recalling that the volume of trade between the two countries reached 1.23 billion US dollars in 2023, which makes of the kingdom the third destination for Brazilian agricultural exports in Africa. Between January and September 2024, commercial transactions between Rabat and Brasilia have already exceeded $903 million, proof of the continued increase in Brazilian exports to Morocco.
