Brahim Ghali in Spain: a former minister forced to justify herself again

Returning to the arrival in Spain in April 2021 of Brahim Ghalithe leader of the Polisario, who had triggered a serious diplomatic crisis with Morocco, the former Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha González Laya, declared that Spain only welcomed a “Spanish citizen” who needed treatment against Covid-19.

“Spain welcomed a Spanish citizen, Brahim Ghali, for treatment against Covid. It’s as simple as that,” summarized the former minister in an interview with The Diplomat in Spain, relayed by Europe Press. As a reminder, during the trial against Ghali in this case, the Polisario leader provided proof of his Spanish nationality.
