Bank charges: Bank Al-Maghrib says stop abusive commissions

Bank Al-Maghrib has just put the brakes on fees generated by card payments. The Moroccan central bank has decided to cap the commission charged on each transaction made with a bank card issued in Morocco at 0.65%.

Until now, the amount of these interchange fees was free, which could lead to significant disparities between the different banking establishments. By setting a ceiling, Bank Al-Maghrib aims to establish greater fairness and limit costs for merchants.
