Ban on same-sex marriage in Marrakech: Union of Moroccan Christians outraged
The Union of Moroccan Christians chaired by Adam Rabati criticizes the ban on same-sex marriage between a Frenchman and a New Zealander in a hotel not far from Marrakech (Ourika).
On Saturday, authorities went to a hotel in Douar Taourirte to put an end to the celebration of a same-sex marriage between a Frenchman and a New Zealander. A ban that sparked the indignation of the president of the Union of Moroccan Christians (ICM), Adam Rabati. In a video, he rejected the decision to ban the celebrations of this union and declared his solidarity with the same-sex couple. He also wanted to apologize to the couple “on behalf of all human rights defenders in the kingdom and activists who are fighting for the abolition of Article 489.”
