Auto-entrepreneurs in Morocco: bad tax payers
Despite the tax reductions granted to auto-entrepreneurs in Morocco, very few declared their income, recently deplored Younes Idrissi Kaitouni, the Director General of Taxes.
During the conference-debate of major meetings of Media24Kaitouni said that of nearly 430,000 auto-entrepreneurs registered, only 27,000 declare their income, a rate of 6, %. A significant rate of non-compliance, he notes, recalling that the government’s objective by creating self-employed status was to simplify access to formal by offering an advantageous tax regime.
