Atlas lions: one step closer to world summits

Morocco continues its rise in the FIFA rankings. Thanks to their 5-1 victory against Gabon during qualifying for the African Cup of Nations, the Atlas Lions have gained 4.61 points and are getting closer to 12th place, currently occupied by Croatia.

With a gap reduced to only 4.45 points, Walid Regragui’s men could well overtake their Croatian counterparts in the next ranking, which will be published on November 28. For this to happen, Croatia would have to lose against Portugal and Morocco would have to win against Lesotho.
