Anger is rising among Moroccan motorists
After a period of calm, parking blocks are back in several Moroccan cities, including Casablanca, during this summer period marked by the influx of tourists, arousing the anger of motorists.
Motorists criticize the return of parking brakes. In a statement to HespressMorad, a young Moroccan, complained about his car being immobilized on a street in Casablanca last week. He says he was surprised by the immobilization of his car and forced by an officer to pay a fine of 30 dirhams, while he was going to a medical analysis laboratory. “The machine that was supposed to provide receipts was not working,” he adds, deploring the harm suffered. Abdellah, who left Tetouan for Casablanca, also found himself faced with a similar difficulty. His car was immobilized about 10 minutes after he parked it in a city parking lot. Annoyed, Abdellah called a bailiff who wrote a report, to send it to a lawyer. The latter filed a complaint with the administrative court.
