An obstacle to the opening of the Casablanca zoo
An obstacle to the opening of the Casablanca zoo
A financial dispute between the city of Casablanca and the company mandated to manage the Aïn Sebaâ zoo is blocking the opening of the park.
The Ain Sebaâ Zoo will not open its doors anytime soon due to a financial dispute between the Casablanca municipality and the company “Dream Village”, which was awarded the contract to manage the park on March 19. The company asked the municipality to pay an amount between 30 and 40 million dirhams as annual support to cover its potential losses. This is justified by the absence of a large influx of visitors daily, given that people will only visit the zoo during holidays and weekends.
