An MRE arrested for kidnapping in Marrakech

In coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), elements of the Marrakech judicial police arrested two individuals on Monday, including a Frenchman of Moroccan origin, accused of kidnapping and sequestration of a Belgian citizen.

According to the results of the preliminary investigation, the Franco-Moroccan, accused of forgery, fraud and swindling in another ongoing case, allegedly asked the second suspect to kidnap and sequester the victim in an apartment in Marrakech. The Belgian national, released on Saturday by the police, bore signs of beatings and was transferred to hospital to receive the necessary care.
