Algerians sentenced in Morocco
An Algerian woman posing as a Moroccan, an Algerian footballer and other Algerians are among the 152 people arrested for having incited illegal emigration from accounts on different social networks to Ceuta.
While they used to reach Europe via Libya and Turkey, candidates for illegal emigration are now going to the cities of northern Morocco before attempting a crossing to Spain. Responding to calls on social networks, there were 3,000 individuals, mostly Moroccans, as well as other countries from North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, trying to return to Europe on Sunday, September 15, 2024, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
