Algerian-Moroccan border: drones, a new weapon for drug traffickers

The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Royal Gendarmerie, foiled an attempted drug trafficking by drone on the Algerian border, not far from the city of Tangier.

The suspicious device was detected using cutting-edge surveillance technologies, disrupting the plans of traffickers who are increasingly using modern means for their illegal activities. Alerted, the gendarmes of Oujda and Beni Drar quickly located the drone, which had fallen in an isolated area.
