Algerian Islamist leader arrested over Moroccan Sahara

An Algerian Islamist leader was arrested by his country’s security forces because of his criticism of the Algerian regime and his support for the Moroccan nature of the Sahara.

Ali Belhadj, Algerian Islamist leader and vice-president of the Islamic Salvation Front, pays dearly for his comments on the Moroccan Sahara. He was arrested and taken to an unknown destination while already under house arrest.
