Algeria vs France: towards a standoff because of Morocco

At a time when diplomatic relations between Rabat and Paris are warming up, Algeria finds itself in difficulty and is planning its response in the event of a standoff with France, whose new government intends to take drastic measures against it. Unlike Morocco, Algiers does not make enough cooperation efforts in terms of consular return authorizations.

Algeria fears a standoff with France and is preparing to retaliate. The new French government, which has demonstrated its desire to maintain good relations with Morocco, is not favorable to Algiers. The Algerian president “promised his close entourage to react decisively in the event that the new French government imposes severe restrictions on the issuance of visas to Algerian nationals or unilaterally denounces the famous Franco-Algerian migration agreement of December 27, 1968” , revealed Maghreb intelligenceadding that Abdelmadjid Tebboune did not appreciate the recent positions and threats made by Bruno Retailleau, new French Minister of the Interior.
