Algeria hands over body of Moroccan footballer missing at sea
The body of the Moroccan footballer Abdellatif Akhrifmissing at sea last July, was finally handed over to the Moroccan authorities on Thursday evening. Found on the Algerian coast last August, the repatriation of the remains was delayed by long administrative procedures.
This drama began on July 6 off the coast of M’diq. A recreational outing with friends turned into a nightmare when their boat capsized. Three people were rescued, but Abdellatif Akhrif and his friend Salman Harraq were swept away by the waves.
