Algeria bans Moroccan colours on television

Behind football, Algeria once again shows its hostility towards Morocco by hiding the scoreboard during the match between the Fennecs and Equatorial Guinea, as part of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations scheduled for Morocco in 2025.

A new hostile act against Morocco. Algerian television has hidden the scoreboard that publicly displays the score and time of the matches, and for which the Confederation of African Football (CAF) chose the colors of the Moroccan flag, red and green during the live broadcast of the match between Algeria and Equatorial Guinea, as part of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (CAN Morocco 2025). All other channels such as the Qatari channels of beIN Sports that broadcast the same match, however, displayed the scoreboard.
