Ajax-Maccabi Tel-Aviv match: Moroccans accused
Violent clashes between supporters broke out in Amsterdam on Thursday, before and after Ajax’s match against Israeli team Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Europa League. Members of the Moroccan and Turkish community are believed to be involved in these incidents.
According to Israeli media, supporters of the Maccabi Tel Aviv team were attacked by a group of Dutch citizens of Turkish and Moroccan origin after the match. Initially, Dutch citizens of Turkish origin chased down a Maccabi supporter after apparently stealing his passport, then attempted to push him into the river. Maccabi officials said they were aware of the incident and that the fan in question did not suffer any injuries.
