A Sables-d’Olonne man revives his family’s olive grove in Morocco to produce organic oil
A Moroccan resident of Les Sables-d’Olonne has taken over the family olive grove to import an entirely organic oil into Vendée.
Abdel Bel Haj, a 53-year-old from Sables-d’Olonne, originally a construction worker, gave up everything to implement a project that honored his parents. He took over the family olive grove to import an entirely organic oil to Vendée. “My father owned an olive grove with more than 2,500 trees in Taza, Morocco. He had grown it little by little, by buying up plots of land. But the olives stayed there. They were bought by a cooperative,” he confided to Actu.fr.
