According to a prestigious American magazine’s ranking, a Moroccan museum is among the best tourist destinations in the world to visit this year.
Time has included the Moroccan Culinary Art Museum in Marrakech on its list of the 50 places to visit this year (The World’s Greatest Places of 2024). “Located in the heart of Marrakech’s bustling old town, the Moroccan Culinary Arts Museum is not only a showcase of Moorish architecture, but also a place dedicated to preserving the country’s culinary heritage,” the prestigious American magazine describes. After opening and closing due to the pandemic and last year’s earthquake, it reopened in June.” Visitors entering the renovated 5,000-square-meter riad escape the heat and noise of the narrow streets of the medina to find themselves in an 18th-century palace decorated with mosaics, carved plaster, and hand-painted cedar ceilings.
