A Moroccan killed in a terrible accident in Australia, his family launches an appeal
The family of Jamal Choukri, 44, victim of the Sydney Harbor Bridge accident (Australia), is desperately seeking financial resources for his repatriation to Morocco.
Amal Abu-Rassaa, whose father-in-law is Jamal Choukri’s uncle, created a GoFundMe page to raise $10,000 to organize the repatriation of the missing man’s body. Nearly $6,000 has already been raised. While awaiting repatriation, religious rites were performed on Choukri’s body in a mosque on Thursday, reports Daily Mail. “Yesterday, at the mosque, he was washing himself, and obviously, seeing (Mr. Choukri) washing himself was probably one of the most difficult things (my father-in-law) has ever had to do in his life “, said Ms. Abu-Rassaa.
