A Franco-Algerian arrested in a luxury hotel in Marrakech

The police put an end to the actions of a suspected cybercriminal. A 20-year-old young man, holder of dual French and Algerian nationality, was arrested Thursday evening in a luxury hotel in Marrakech. He is suspected of having hacked banking data to finance a lavish lifestyle.

It was a national search warrant issued by the judicial police of the ocher city which made it possible to locate and apprehend the individual. Investigators suspect him of having set up a real fraudulent system. He allegedly used the stolen banking information to make online purchases and reservations at high-end establishments.
