A boycott in Morocco brings Lacoste to its knees
Following the controversy sparked by the representation of Morocco on its new shirt models, the French brand Lacoste made a correction. Moroccans had strongly criticized the map of Morocco initially presented, divided into two parts.
Lacoste quickly reacted by removing the line separating the Sahara from Moroccan territory on the shirts of its Worldwide Lacoste collection. The corrected models, displaying a complete world map including Morocco in its entirety, were put back on sale on the brand’s official website.
